"Ok, So here's the deal. This stuff works well, if you use it correctly. It is something that will last for a day (if you do it correctly). Not sure what happens in the summer with sweat. I'm positive if it rains the results will disappear. You cannot use cream, makeup, or anything under it. You must have clean dry skin. You have to put on a thin layer, pat it on slightly to distribute it. You can use your finger (not sure how a brush works because I havent used one). Yu wait 5 minutes for it to dry. It tightens the skin. If you put it on thin, it wont create a bunch of white residue, though I do see a slight lightening on the lower lid where I applied it. You can put powder on it after for some cover. I wouldnt use creams, or any liquid foundation. This is a layer of film that shrinks the under eye and holds it. If you wet it, it will release. For me, its worth the results. I am a fan."

"Ok I’ve had under eye bags since I was a kid. Genetics. Now that I’m getting older they are getting worse. I didn’t want to do surgery so I searched for products that help. This was highly recommended on a bunch of searches so I tried it. You can see in the picture the improvement. I can get a more extreme result if I apply with a brush, but I felt it looked too unnatural. I prefer to just pat it on with my fingers. The only minor complaint I have is it feels like you’re walking around with superglue on your face all day, but after a few times of using it you get used to it. It’s an affordable alternative to surgery and it works!"

"Great product...Using to disguise under eye puffiness and discoloration of one eye caused by severe chronic sinusitis until my appointment next month for fillers/injections, (see pic. 1). Used a very small amount applied with small makeup brush on clean dry face with no moisturizer or foundation. After product dries in about 5 - 8 min. bags are not visible but dark circles are more apparent, (see pic 2). I then apply a few pen size drops of yellow liquid concealer to my under eye dark spots very very very lightly with a q-tip not applying too much pressure as not to disturb the dried Firm X product.. Next I apply my pressed powder over the concealer/dark spots using the tip of a makeup sponge in a tapping motion, then apply the same pressed powder to the rest of face as normal and use a large makeup brush to blend edge of under eye area to the rest of face area, (see pic 3). Like other reviews say "use less Firm X to avoid white flakes" . I'm so satisfied with this ptodu t that if I wasn't so self-concious of the under eye bags and discloration when not having on makeup I would definity not get fillers or injections next month to correct my problem. Great temporary fix though!!!"

"I’m not sure what common mistakes people make or if this works differently on different people, but for me it’s as close to a magic spell as it gets. I follow the directions except I use my finger instead of a brush, and it lasts all day and gives me a flawless look. I naturally have really bad eye bags and this makes them disappear. Something I might have going for me is that I don’t make a lot of facial expressions naturally, or smile very much. I keep my face pretty still all day. So maybe that’s why it doesn’t stop working. I did eat a hot dog though and I could feel like it was pulling and almost shattered the magic, but I tried to be as careful as possible so it didn’t. Be careful making facial expressions or eating big bite food.. but if you follow the directions (clean face, shake the bottle well, put a very thin layer where you’re supposed to and keep your face perfectly still for a long time), it should work. Remember - if you are a super expressive person who smiles really big and makes dramatic facial expressions, this stuff might not be for you. But it’s literally magic if you’re a stone faced person. "It ACTUALLY WORKS, but you MUST not get a drop of moisture on the applied area because the magical barrier (that smooths out the bags and puffiness) literally breaks down immediately and the effect is gone. Like others have mentioned, you have to shake it first and every time - even though it’s a paste in a tube and you’d think you would not have to shake it… But you have to shake it anyway even if you think it’s not mixing. Use a pea size amount on each eye and use your finger to LIGHTLY DAB an extremely thin coating - go across the entire width of your under eye area and get as close to Your bottom eyelashes as you can without getting the product into your eyes (because it will burn). Do not MOVE your face and fan it with an index card. It’ll work - but do not put ANYTHING on top or near it because the second you do the composition or the “magical barrier” Completely breaks down and the puffiness and bags are immediately back. I go so far as to put my contact lenses in first, brush my teeth first, dry my hair first - anything at all that eliminates the possibility of moisture. Lastly, sometimes you’ll get a weird mark under your eye, almost like a ring mark. I think that when the area “smooths out” it can connect freckles or age marks for some reason, And you’ll have a weird dark marking under your eyes… Since you cannot put make up on top of it then you’re stuck with depuffed eyes but with weird marks under your eyes. I tried mixing in a teeny amount of Bare Minerals dry powder into the pea size amount and I think it worked! Smooth area and no marks today. Please see photos - not sure the order you can see them but the puffy eyes are the before and I am cautiously optimistic. I’ll give an update at a later time. Just wish they could give more product in a bigger tube and REDUCE the price. Otherwise this’ll end up costing as much as a lower blepharoplasty. UPDATE: found a much CHEAPER price!! Walmart online has it for $28 instead of $48 which is what I’ve paid at cosmetic and beauty supply stores. I tested and it’s not a knockoff. Life has its little victories."

"I don't really have bags, but I wanted to see what it would do for tightening certain areas, as seen in videos online. I tried it on the frown lines, creases in forehead and on the neck and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw visible improvement in those areas. You can feel the tightening as the product dries, but not an issue after applying moisturizer or makeup, but the effect holds. I stood under an a/c vent to dry mine faster and it was dry to the touch within a couple of minutes with no stick feel. Skin felt silky smooth after application. A small amount goes a long way. Though a good quality brush applicator was supplied with the product, I chose to use my finger to apply, dabbing lightly on the areas. No white residue was visible. Under eye concealer and makeup were easily applied and blended well with the product. Lasts all day for me, with dry skin. I applied to a clean dry face. Will buy again."

I was very skeptical to try this Peter Thomas Roth product due to some pretty bad reviews but I'm so glad I did. I've been looking for something to use for my daughter's up coming wedding and I have definitely found it. You can literally feel your skin tightening. There is no redness or burning. There are a few little white specks that show up from time to time when applying but very easy to just gently get off with ease. It dries super fast and stays all day until you wash it off bc it does not absorb into your skin like lotion. You can gently put your makeup on over it like normal bc it is tinted and blends with ease. One thing I have noticed is once it dries, do not mess with or pull the skin in those areas or you will have to rinse it off and reapply because it will show wrinkled areas where the cream has been pulled. Also it seems the longer it's on the more annoying it feels but if you can get past that you're golden. It will stay on as long as you want it to but once you wash it off, your bags will reappear instantly. These are things I've noticed myself but tinker with it a few times to see what works best for you. It is very expensive, so I only use it on special occasions and a little goes a long way. Then I apply the size of a grain of rice under each eye and I look upward while I let it dry so that the skin does not feel pulled down. If my skin is a tadpole down because it dries so tightly I can slightly press on my lower lid to raise my lower lid by pressing on it.
